Giving Tree

Westview PTSA is looking for a strong support this year as we gear up to serve our Westview families in need at the holidays and throughout the year. Our school is focused on maintaining positive relationships and keeping a close connection with our families, which is especially important for those families in need as a result of difficult circumstances, and who otherwise wouldn't have the resources to celebrate the holidays. This program provides a wonderful holiday experience for families at a critical time in their lives.

Please stop and think about HOW, not if, you can make a difference this year.

How can I help?

There are several ways you can make a difference and be involved in the Adopt a Family program:

  • Can you sponsor a family as a class OR as a club OR as a department?

  • Can you pass the word along to students to participate?

  • Would an individual student’s family like to adopt a family?

  • Would you like to take up a collection of gift cards?

  • Would you like to donate a gift card(s)?

  1. Gather a team together to coordinate fulfilling a family wish list. Book clubs, sports teams, families are great groups to bring together. Homeroom teachers and Club Advisors can assign this to a student lead (The student lead will be eligible for community service hours).

  2. We need gift cards from local stores and gas stations, including:  Vons, Ralphs, Stater Bros., Chevron, Shell, Target and Wal-Mart, etc. Gift cards should be in $25 increments. We also need restaurant gift cards in smaller increments to:  Subway, Jamba Juice and other student preferences.

  3. It costs approximately $350 to sponsor a family. Raise funds that a trusted Adopt a Family team member will use to purchase wish list items.

REMEMBER: your donations are TAX-DEDUCTIBLE!

Any generosity you can show this holiday season will mean the world to our families in need.
